Bucking the cynicism of her colleagues, a young neuro-scientist and an injured detective take on the challenge with help from a group of near-death survivors. In the process, they learn that clues from these experiences lead to profound personal revelations and that buried in them all are clues to a revelation of earth-shaking proportions.
