Take six strangers. Divide them into two teams. Their mission: buy trash, turn it into treasure, and sell it for as much as possible. The name of the game is Trash to Treasure and the team who earns the most gets bragging rights…at least for a week.

Each team gets a few hundred dollars and a van. They have six hours to shop at garage sales, consignment shops, flea markets, second hand stores and content sales, and spend all their money. The teams then have eight hours to clean, fix, paint, polish and refurbish their finds. Then each team sets up a table at a local flea market and has five hours to sell all their wares. Which team displays the most creativity, charm, and salesmanship? We let the public decide—with their wallets.

SANDY ROBSON (Host)

Sandy Robson’s love of all things used and discarded started back in the seventies, long before vintage became trendy. Way back then, Sandy came upon a lonely piece of chewed gum stuck to the bottom of his shoe. He realized that although the gum had finished its job in one person’s mouth, it could go on and be enjoyed by another. Now he brings this faith in recycling to his hosting role on Trash to Treasure along with extensive acting experience.

 

Sandy has appeared in several movies including "Rise of the Planet of the Apes", "Cow Belles", "Twas The Night", and "Crazy Canucks", as well as TV series such as "Supernatural", "Smallvile" and "Hiccups".
